On Wednesday, December 7, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney claimed "There was not a single mainstream, Wall Street, academic economist who knew at the time, in January of 2009, just how deep the economic hole was that we were in." So in the clip below, this idiocy is followed by clip after clip of respected, mainstream economists making just such predictions. As Jon Stewart says, "It's like they believe that videotape doesn't work." Actually, what Carney meant to say was that Obama got to hear no advice outside the reality as Larry Summers and Little Timmeh saw it.
